Chaplain Dan Nase
Dan and Marilyn Nase have been missionary Chaplains with GOSPEL EXPRESS PRISON MINISTRY since 2000. We are so grateful to GEMS for the prayers and financial support afforded us over these 25 years. Dan at 80 years old and Marilyn at 39 (not really) are still going strong. Since Covid, Dan is back in prisons conducting Spanish worship services in three prisons. Marilyn accompanies Dan every Tuesday as they minister the Gospel to sixty-five women in the Faith Based dorm. Dan brings a Gospel message on the transformation in the likeness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Believe it not…Marilyn is teaching the Book of Revelation! She is doing a wonderful job!! We asked the ladies in Dorm C-3 what they wanted us to teach them, and they responded with a hearty request for learning about Last Days prophecy. Marilyn uses the Life Application Bible and a book authored by Dr. David Jeremiah. Dan tackles different scriptures pertaining to the Last Days. This topic seems to be on everyone’s mind. We do not know the day or the hour of our Lord’s return, but we sure see most if not all the prophetic events happening right in front of our eyes. We are plunging headlong toward God’s judgement!
Last March (2024) held our first graduation ceremony for those who had met the requirements. One of the requirements is for them to memorize Romans 8 from start to finish. Last March we graduated thirty-three. Amazing! Pastor Doug Gingerich, current Chairman of GEMS was our keynote speaker. This year we are on track to graduate fifty ladies. PTL! With the help of Eddie and Stella Gomez, we continue to ship Spanish Study Bibles to Federal ICE Detention centers. Last year we shipped over 2,200 Bibles to those who wrote us asking for the Bible. This ministry is totally driven by the detainees that come from about all Spanish speaking countries. They do Bible Studies or prayer groups in the facility. New believers then write to us requesting this wonderful Bible called The Bible of the Fisherman. How about that!? Wonderful!!
