Chaplain Issac Williams

Minister Issac Williams joined GEMS in 2021. He was born and raised in Midway, FL and is currently employed at Tallahassee Ford as the Detail Manager. After spending almost 9 years in prison, Minister Williams decided to come home and start a nonprofit organization in 2003. He is the President and Founder of Inspired by Love Prison Ministry of North Florida.

The mission of the ministry is to help build self-worth, providing a positive direction for inmates and giving them an opportunity to contribute to society. The mission is to also provide assistance to the homeless and disadvantage youth throughout North Florida.

We’re committed to helping inmates in prison and ex-offenders re-entering the community.  Our ministry program provides prison and jail inmates with visitations for spiritual counseling, Bible study, mail correspondence and some basic necessities, such as deodorant, shampoo, and lotion. Most people are not aware that inmates are not supplied with these personal hygiene items.

IBL also focuses heavily on community outreach by assisting the youth in positive programs in an effort to reduce crime and to ensure our young that they do not have to resort to crime. We encourage them to continue in their education develop positive outlooks for the future although many have been affected by family member’s incarceration. Our Annual Book Bag and School Supply Giveaway is one of our biggest and most enjoyable community outreach activities.

I was called by God to go back into the prisons to uplift and encourage men and women that are behind bars that they can make it if they put God first. It’s a must needed ministry that helps men and women to transition back into society. I am honored to be a part of the GEMS Prison Ministry!
